Saw Johnny Winter (http://johnnywinter.net/welcome/) at a local club last night. One of the best shows I've been to in years. He had to be helped onstage, and sat in a chair stage-center. Once a guitar was put in his hands tho, it was pure, blistering, magic for the next hour and a half. If you get a chance to see him (touring the States & Canada before going to Germany for some dates next year), go. You won't be sorry at all.

Wow, there's a blast from the past. I drove 200 miles to see him in concert with his brother Edgar. Hot show.

I have a couple Johnny Winter albums. My favorite is the one he made with Muddy "Mississippi" Waters (http://www.cduniverse.com/search/xx/music/pid/6263445/a/Muddy+%22Mississippi%22+Waters+Live:+Legacy+Editio n.htm). He's not the featured artist but his guitar shines thru. Unmistakable sound. ;)

I've never heard of him :hmm:

But then again... he's probably not heard of me.
