i need help. my internet explorer just seems to shut down all the time

i need some help.
for some odd reason after i got my computer fixed the last time my internet explorer seems to just shut down whenever it feels like telling me this message that says internet is not responding & its shutting down. can someone tell me whats wrong because this is really killing me i cant seem to do something without it shutting down. please help!

try going into tools, internet options, advanced and click on restore advance settings, also click on reset internet folder settings.

If that does not work, tell what which version of msie you are using.
