Hi. Just a quick question here: imagining that we live in a perfect world and 64Bit is compatible with my system, will it run faster than 32Bit? I have heard that on mid-endish systems it is slower unless you have about 4GB of RAM. So, on my AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ and 2GB of DDR2 667 RAM will 64bit or 32bit be best on performance? Thanks, Michael.

I have no idea but see if this (http://64-bit-computers.com/windows-vista-32-bit-vs-64-bit-benchmark.html) helps Michael.

Thanks, was very useful, I now know that 64bit is faster and will probably get that. Thanks.

You are welcome. You might want to check to make sure that 64bit drivers are available for your devices first though. :)

The big advantage of 64bit is it allows a system to add a lot more RAM......32bit is restricted to approx 3Gb.
