Hi, please see the link to the picture for additional details... but just yesterday when I restarted my system I found this problem. For one, the quicklaunch bar no longer only shows 4 items with an arrow to expand it, now it just shows them all as one. And second (and most annoying), the taskbar buttons for applications are now TINY and all the way down to the right. usually, they are right next to quick launch bar and like 4 or 5 times the width, but now I can barely see them and it is REALLY agitating me. See the picture... look down in the right corner, you should be able to see mozilla and aim buttons. If I have any more open, I have to use these arrows that come up next to them and scroll through, it no longer expands. I'd like them back on the left and at normal size, with the quicklaunch bar not so fully expanded.

Help?

Hi Stolly and welcome to CTH. Let's try the easy option first. Have you tried running System Restore and choosing a date before the problem happened?

If not give it a try (type System Restore in the search box above the Start Button and System Restore will appear at the top of the menu. Doubleclick to run and follow the prompts). Let us know if this helped.

Yes... but then my iTunes and quicktime won't work, so I have to re-install. Then, I have to reinstall those and then when I restart, it goes back to the way it was.

So what you are saying is your iTunes/quicktime installation caused the problem?

Yes, it would appear that is the problem... but I can't really tell for sure.

Now, whenever I try to restore to a previous point (only allows me to go back until like 11/10), it comes up with an error about restore problem, so I can't test that that was the case for sure.

Well I think it would be a good idea to uninstall ITunes/Quicktime and reboot. If you still have a problem, run System Restore and restore to the day before the problem occurred (make sure this is prior to the iTunes installation).
