Question Hard drive about to crash, I think!?!

Every time I boot up my machine (HP), I get a message before windows starts that my Quantum Fireball HD is about to fail. The system runs fine (For WinMe) However, I have run the disk integrity program from Quantum (Maxtor) as well as the ones on my pc and by all indications, my HD is good. Is my HD good or am I missing something? How can I stop this message from appearing? Is it in the BIOS or as a startup to windows.

ok do a virus scan, if clear then backup all your files (scan first to makje sure you don't backup a virus too)
then make backups of your backups for your most valuable data.
Then contact hp if yours pcs still under guarentee and see what they have to say. It'd unlikely that a virus would cause this and hard drives don't give these messages unless they really are about to fail.
You coulkd also try a thourough scan disk and defrag.
