View Full Version : I disabled my add ons?

Hi guys,
I think i must of disabled my toolbar option somewhere a long the line, basically when i right click the menu bar underneath menu bar, links & status bar the toolbar option is 'faded' and not available to add on?. Any help would be gratefull, thanks very much;)

I have google, yahoo & windows live but when i right click menu bar they are there but they are 'faded' text and cannot add any of them to menu bar?

hi guys
By mistake i disabled my add ons, i done this

1. Click the "Tools" menu, and then click "Internet Options."
2. Click the "Advanced" tab.
3. Click "Reset."

I would like to 'reverse' what i have done so add ons are back to normal, I have tried to google search the info but cannot find anything to help, can anyone help please:)

Hi Tony. Try this but set a restore point first please. Go here (http://h1.ripway.com/AnnieFriday/tg.reg) and download tg.reg to your Desktop. Doubleclick on it and ok the prompt to merge with your registry. Reboot and let me know if you still have a problem.

i tried your tip but no luck, i sent another topic as i realised after looking into it i accidently diasbled my add ons by clicking tools>internet options>advanced>reset, sorry to spam the forums but i couldn't find anyway to delete this thread and start a fresh one;)

No problem I merged them to one topic. It may look a bit odd now but it more aptly describes your problem. ;)

I am not sure if you can restore them Tony. You may have to reinstall them. Try running System Restore and see if that helps.

Before you do this, you have looked in Tools > Manage Add-ons right (in IE)?

Thats it thanks annemarie, it's easy when you think about it. I thought it was going to be more complicated, thanks so much that's something i've learnt and wont do again. Im only a novice!!. Many Thanks:D

Experimenting is half the fun Tony but it is stressful lol. :p
