hello all! i am trying to wire up my xbox 360 to my linksys ezxs88w. it's an 8port switch, which i had a laptop successfully connected to but cannot say the same for the xbox. what could be hindering the connection for the xbox? thanks!

If your trying to connect both your laptop and the xbox 360 to the switch at the same time it won't work. you need a router for that, not a switch. a switch cannot share an internet connecting. if you disconnect the laptop from the switch and only connect the xbox to the switch, it should work ok but not the pc and xbox at the same time. you might need to configure some things on xbox 360 first tho.
