As stated in the topic title, my internet connection is dropped every 5-10 minutes on my wireless internet.
I have two computers, one upstairs, one downstairs. The one downstairs is running on a router (D-Link DI-624_revC), and the upstairs computer is using a wireless internet card. Every 5-10 minutes, the computer upstairs loses its internet connection for no more than 15 seconds. I've had this setup for almost 3 years, and it has worked perfectly until this started happening just yesterday. I have the latest firmware, which as I stated, as worked for 3 years.
I am running win XP (SP2), Optimum Online is my ISP. Thanks to anyone who helps. (As I said, this problem just started happening yesterday, and I haven't changed a thing. My D-Link connection is constantly green, and I am able to reconnect within 15 seconds of losing internet every time. The status of my D-Link connection wizard thing says that i'm connected and receiving a strong signal even when my internet goes out.
thanks.
