SOMEONE HELP ME! I have a Sony Viao VGN-NR160E. I was on this morning then it said to restart my computer so the updates could begin. Well, I delayed it until before i had school. I turned it off then i went to school. When i got home, It said Windows failed to start.
It was missing
File:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\compbatt.sys

status: 0xc0000098

Info: Windows failed to load because a critical system driver is missing, or corrupt.
I don't have a Windows Vista disk because i got Vista was pre-instaled in the computer. Can anyone give me a tip to fixmy computer?I already read the other post about this but i don't hav a disk.Send me info for help?

Ok, yesterday i called them and i was on hold for 36 minutes. I just hung up. Later that night, I just went to Office Depot and exchanged it because i still had my warranty. So I now have a brand new laptop with noproblems

I see. Did you get the Vista disk too? If not, now is the time to contact Sony and ask that it be sent to you. That way you will be prepared if there are any further catastrophes.

Well, I didn't get the vista disk. I have a 90 day warranty, and so i think nothing should happen in the 90 days. After those 90 days i should be fine.If something does, I can still take it back to the store.
