I upgraded to a new computer, HP's a6123w, with Windows Vista Home Premium. Since I've had it I have had a major problem. After my computer's been on a while the taskbar messes up, the windows mess up, and the icons on my desktop mess up. I'm sorry I don't know how to be more specific about this, everything just looks glitchy. I would take a screenshot to show you but it won't take screenshots when it is like this. If you want, next time it happens I could take a pic with my camera. Anyway, it does this at least 4 times a day. Earlier I would have to restart or log out and log back in to fix it. After a long while I figured out that MOST of the time if I mouse over the time in the bottom right, or where the time is SUPPOSED to be, it says Windows Explorer has encountered a problem, and it asks me if I want to check for a solution and restart it, or just restart. Well I checked for a solution, and it found one. I downloaded it, and it didn't do anything. So could someone please help me with a permanent solution? Thanks for reading.

Hi kaymicrager and welcome to CTH. An issue such as you describe is not that easy to diagnose online. If the problem has existed since you purchased the computer, you should contact the retailer and take advantage of your warranty.
