Network Configuration

Hiya,
When using p2peer applications i am getting a message that i am not fully connected to the network, on utorrent for example on the bottom of the screen it indicates 'No incoming connections. It could indicate a problem with your network configuration'. I have an idea that my firewall could be playing apart in this problem but i do not know how to resolve this issue. Any help would be highly appreciated:):)

open utor then at the top click on options then on speedguide, follow instructions.........!

It seems like i have to map a port as mine is not open which i will try later when i have the time, I will let you know the outcome, thanks for your help mark ;)

hiya all,
Unfortunately i'm a newbie to computers and I cannot work out how to configure my PC to allow incoming connections on p2p applications so i need an idiots guide or an app that does it for me, i cannot download anything until i correct this problem,i tried the utorrent help guide but when i entered the ip address in IE it came up page not found, i'm a little out of my depth here. Many thanks!!!
