First off, if this topic belongs somewhere else, moderators please move and let me know where it was moved to.
ok, with that out of the way!
i am running windows vista home basic on a Dell Inspiron 1501. i installed perfectdisk about a month ago, then found something i like better. so, i did an uninstall of perfectdisk, but i keep getting a PDBoot.exe program cannot be found at startup, just after the windows load bar page. Was wondering if anyone has had this issue, or if anyone knows a fix for it.
Thanks in advance for any replies!

Ok, i feel like an idiot. No help needed. just had to do a better google search. Found the problem was in the registry, and had to delete a line out of there. sorry for the usless post.

No problem at all and no need to feel like an idiot either geowick07. Help to fix a "file cannot be found at startup" error is often requested and there is no reason why you are expected to know what causes the problem. :)

How did you go about fixing the "PDBoot.exe. I am running Vista Business and havn't been able to figure out how to fix this. I have been into the registry and still I can't figure out how to go about fixing this problem. Can you please explain how I can fix this PDBoot.exe problem? Thank you,
Ralph

Hi Ralph. Go here (http://www.silentrunners.org/) and download Silent Runners.vbs to a new folder on your Desktop (Clicking the the download link works if you use IE. If you use FireFox, rightclick on the link and choose "Save Link As") and run it. It generates a log too. It takes a minute or two and it will notify you with a popup when your log is ready (make sure you wait for the popups please) Please post the information back in this thread too (you may need to make a couple of posts). If your antivirus program queries the script, allow it to run. It's not malicious.
