Can someone tell me how to get email address from one computer to another? Is there a way to do it without typing each one in?
Old cpu has XP and used Microsoft Outlook and I also used MSN email.
New computer of course has VISTA and I'm totally lost!!
Thanks!!

For Outlook: If your transferring from Outlook to Outlook then: Outlook maintains all the email in one file called *.PST file, in XP/Vista it is probably a hidden file.
So here is what you do:
To locate your main .pst file, right-click the Outlook Today folder and choose Properties. (If the .pst file you want to move isn't your main data store, right-click the top level of the hierarchy instead of Outlook Today.) In the Properties dialog box, click the Advanced button to see the filename and path for your .pst file. You can't change the path in that dialog box, but knowing the path gives you enough information to locate and move/copy the .pst file manually. Close Outlook; you might have to wait a couple minutes to make sure that it shuts down completely.
If you don't see it then its hidden to unhide:
Open Windows Explorer, and choose Tools, Folder Options. On the View tab, select "Show hidden files and folders." After you close the dialog box, you should be able to see the .pst file in the folder. If you know where the .pst file resides, you can move it, back it up, or copy it to a new machine when you upgrade. However, before you perform any of these operations, you must shut down Outlook.
Next, go to the location that the Properties dialog box specified and copy the .pst file to a new location on your computer. It will probably be a large file so burn it to a CD.
Then on the new machine open Outlook and import the *.PST file.
MSN Mail: I am not familiar with

Thanks for your help Murf!
I read your instructions.....and tried to do it that way.
But I couldn't get it to work that way. So I kept tinkering around with it and did get my addresses sent to new computer.
I'm not sure how I did it though, I just went through the steps I did and now it won't work!! If I get it figured out again....I'll post the directions.
Thanks again!!
