Hello
In a recent job interview I was asked the following:
A user accessing the network from home calls the helpdesk to say he believes the server is down because he cannot see files/folders which he accesses with others in the finance department. And what would I do?
I replied that I would ping the server to check it was working OK. The interviewers gave me several 'nods'. Then I might check in AD to ensure he was logged in - again:several 'nods'.
Then I would check in AD to ensure he had permission to access these files/folders. But why would he not be able to see them if he was logged on to the network and had permissions to see/open them?
Thanks.
Steve
