I bought a dell XPS 210 PC with vista. I tried installing DSL with the CD and it wont let me. A box pops up with this in it,

self registration
error:c:\windows\system 32\macro\flash.ocx

I don't know what that means. This CD worked on windows xp., Thanks, Anfurnee

My ISP's CD won't work on Vista, either. It also worked on XP.

The simplest solution is to call your ISP and let them help you set things up.

you dont have to install DSL CD on vista.. just plug ethernet into DSL modem and turn it on, it will connect to the net. or you can go to dell website and type your computer model # to download all the drivers for your hardware.

i have Dell PC & DSL CD but never install it just plug it and turn my DSL modem on and connect to the net ready....

If your DSL is PPPoE (as mine is) you will need to enter a username and password to logon. Although you can set it up without running the ISPs disk, if you don't know how to do that, calling your ISP should get you the help you need.
