Pictures and animations in email text box

I use Yahoo mail. I want to be able to place a picture or an animation into the text box like this one I'm typing in right now and then email it. What formats work for a picture and for an animation?

Evidently Yahoo has discontiued that service and you need another way to do that now. Researching yahoo gives answers about using Kodak EasyShare or Picassa or even going to gmail instead.

Yahoo has shut down, yahoo photos.

Nope, nothing to do with Yahoo Pictures. I need to know what format (gif, bitmap, jpeg, etc.) and how to insert (copy/paste, select all/paste, insert, etc.) Anyone else?????
