our system here uses antamedia hotspot to manage wireless connections
it uses commands from client side "logout" to logout from the server, but whenever you type this at the address bar, vista does its live search and gives search results instead, anyway to disable it w/o installing another toolbar? or any bypass to this live search so we can use the logout function?
thanks!

You have tried disabling "Search from Address Bar" in IE (Tools > Internet Options > Advanced)?

Hmmm, I am not familiar with the software you are referring to midoban06 so I really cant help any further. It may be a configuration issue. Surely Antamedia Customer Support can help you. See here (http://www.antamedia.com/contact.php) for their contact information.
