Welcome to CTH

Have you tried a system restore instead?

Reboot, start hitting F8 key after 1st boot screen, menu select "Safe Mode".

Once booted up do this:

Go to Start | Search type in restore

A window will pop up and you will see System Restore

Double click then you will see a screen where you can choose to roll back the system to the last restore point. You can select "Recommended restore" and just click next, or you can choose a different restore point., One before you deleted files...

i did mate but it wouldnt let me go back far enough, it took a few weeks to discover nothing was working right, i thought it might have had a restore like xp where you can pick a date back for months,
thanks

Your next option then:

Have to set your boot order in SETUP (Bios) to cdrom/dvd as the first device. - usually Del or a F key, screen tells you. Save & Exit

You will, after its done loading, you'll have a big install now button in the middle of the screen. When you get to that hit R.
