A ping pong table! Yep! And I'm going to kick my husband's you know what! :rotflmao:

I love ping pong. I was always very good at it, if you want to know the truth. Here's why I'm telling you about it - I never really paid attention to what brand of paddle/racquet I used. I just picked up what was available and played. Like anyone else, I had paddles I liked and paddles I didn't like. Anyway, now I'm trying to get at least 2 paddles for not too much, but I don't want any cheap-arse no good ones. Can anyone recommend a brand? Is this one pretty good?

I can't actually understand your question about towards or away from the wrist! I think I tend to like the longer handles. I switch between forehand and backhand, of course.

In my early teens I used to play table tennis for my old home town, even won a few games too. :)

I don't remember the exact brand name of the "bats" I used but they were made by Dunlop, very similar to these types...

Upon playing, I can't say I kicked my hubby's you know what after all. However, I was holding my own! And now, every day when he goes to work, I'll practice with the table in the playback position. Before you know it, he'll be history! Ha!

By the way, I do have 2 of those paddles coming and I'm glad because the cheapo ones we got at the sporting goods store this morning so we could play are awful. The table was great, however. It was really fun for both of us!

Mr. Bean, I am. And we are! In fact, the DONIC paddles have come in great - much more control with those, and the next thing we're going to do is get better balls. Right now, we have 1-star balls which is the lowest grade, LOL. 3 stars denotes the best! Now Dave, I could really go for that Robo-Pong contraption because boy, would that help me perfect my slamming forehand (my best shot)! I'd have hubby cringing when he saw it coming. <grin>

I need to make a music CD with proper ping-pong music. I figure mostly Motown!
