Lag When there is Fire or Fog Effects, need help :)
Hey..
I Got a big problem here, 4 month back i purchased a Computer from Packard Bell and so did a friend of mine.. we got 100% the same hardware and his Computer runs everything 100% perfect, but heres the problem everytime i play a game whit like "Fire Effects" or "Fog Effects" my Computer starts to lag.. i play WoW mostly and my FPS falls always below 10 in FPS, i've tried to setup the settings in ATI CCC which doesn't help at all, i've reinstalling VISTA over and over again just to see if that fixes the problem and it dont, also tried on XP and its the same problem, i kinda know its the graphic card or so i think at least.. Can I do anything to prevent it or fix it? im not sure if its the right place to post this.. but it only lags in games ^^ This is what i got in my Computer: Microsoft® Windows® Vista Home Premium Cuba (MSI MS-7301) Motherboard Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 2x Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 500 GB Hard Disk ATI RADEON x1650 XT 2x 1GB DDR2 SDRR Thanks alot if some1 knows what to do ^^

Lag...
Do you have the latest DirectX 10 build? Your drivers up to date? Your videocard isn't bad, probably plenty for WoW. Tried turning off the fog and fire effects in the game? (I think under Video > Specular Lighting and Full-Screen Glow effect might be dragging you down?)
Just something to try. |

it still has problems in XP?
have you installed the latest graphics card drivers? I don't think there should be anything wrong with Direct X
