Internet Problems to the max.
Hello all! Quick question for you guys, was hoping for some advice:
I'm using a cable connection with time warner cable as my isp. I am using a router which is used for 5 different computers. When the connection does work, it works well, with good download speeds and low ping. But, the problem is that frequently it temporarily cuts out. It will either be a time out, which cripples the speed to about 1 percent of what it should be, or it simply stops working entirely. In order to correct many of these, I have had to disable, then re-enable the local area connection. In some cases I had to reset the router/modem. I've already tried multiple routers, all of which were using updated drivers. When the disconnects occur, every computer in the network disconnects in miserable unison. I've run virus scans and disabled firewall to see if it was causing any issues, but nothing seems to be working. any ideas? |
