what is the missing shortcut and how do I correct\get rid of this problem?

Missing shortcut, Windows is searching for...
The information in this article applies to:
Ü All programs, all versions
Symptoms: When I try to run the program, a message box appears, "Missing shortcut", "Windows is searching for (file name.exe). To locate the file yourself…".
Cause:
1. The program shortcut does not point to the correct directory (or folder) where it was installed because it was moved, deleted or renamed.
Resolution:
1. When the above message is displayed, use the Browse button to locate the file where it was installed.
or
2. Select the icon shortcut and right click and select Properties, edit the Start in (example: n:\trackit2001) and Target (example: N:\trackit2001\pro.exe) boxes according to the location where it was installed on the Network.

Download and run the trial version of System Mechanic (http://www.iolo.com/sm/index.htm) from Iolo. It'll fix broken shortcuts for you - without telling you how ;)
