I use internet explorer 7 and also have one called aol explorer.
My question is this. Do I need both and also what is aol explorer and if removed will it affect my aol?

You really do not need both so if you want you can uninstall the aol one. IMO, its always good to have a second browser in case you run into problems with the default one.
