You could boot into Safe Mode and try deleteing it
from there.

There's a trick.
From Can't delete or move avi and video files (http://www.winguides.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=genwinxp&Number=45882&page=&view=&sb=&vc=1)
When you highlight a Media file in explorer, an embedded version of Media Player appears on the left of the screen so that you can preview the file.
When you select delete, the operation fails because Media Player failed to release the file.
That’s why you can always delete the file from the command prompt or from within the Open/Save Dialog Box.
Normally, when the delete operation fails, I click on an empty space in the folder so the file is no longer highlighted, I then right click the file and select delete as quickly as I can without giving Media Player enough time to open the file.
Or click it and hit the delete key on the keyboard quickly to achieve the same result.
If that does not work, I open notepad, click file > open, navigate to the folder in question, in the Files of type: in the 'open' dialog box I select "all files". Find the file I want to delete, right click on it and select delete. Works every time.
You can also use the good old command prompt to do it.
Note: the bigger the file is, the more likely you will have a problem deleting. Also some avi and mpeg movies that have been poorly encoded will have the same problem since Media Player will have to work harder and take longer to decode it."
