Yes, hello. Well, for the most part this all started when I trying to convert an SWF file over to AVI. Searching desperately over every search engine I could find and using every program which came in my path. The only success I had was a $70 some one that I couldnt afford on time for my project to be finished. In the end I didnt convert it but since then my computer has been a bit bugged as of late.
I've narrowed the problem down. Everytime I try to play an AVI only movie file or, hell, even left click on one it causes explorer to crash and then reboot itself. MPEG still seems to work fine obviously though.
I've tried desperately in every way to alleviate this problem. Adaware, Spyware S&D, Norton, registry cleaner program, trying to download different codecs, as you can tell I'm kind of desperate for half of these programs dont even tie in but most were used early when the problem arose.
Please, if you can help me out it would be a great sigh of relief on my part. I'd like my computer to be able to play the movie format in which 90% of my video files are related to.
