all-in-one security solutions

Hi,
I was redirected to ask here.
I'm wondering about the best combinations of software when it comes to security.

If I'm to take the free choice, I guess the best combo is AVG AntiVirus (free edition), Spybot S&D and ZoneAlarm firewall?
Then I don't have any active protection from spyware though and then I'd have to download something like SpywareBlaster too (right?).

Now, I was wondering how good exactly those all-in-one solutions (which you have to pay for) like ZoneAlarms Internet Security Suite or AVG Internet Security are. It certainly seems a lot easier to pay for an all-in-one package than to have to download and update regularly all those free programs.

I know ZoneAlarms firewall is great, but I have no idea what its anti-virus or anti-spyware (which come with the all-in-one suite) are like..
On the other hand, I've had a great experience with AVG free anti-virus and I know it's anti-spyware is pretty good too. There, it's the firewall I'm worried about.

So... What would you recommend?

Thanks

*edit* And then there's also the option where I only buy the AVG Anti-Spyware and have the free AVG anti-virus and ZoneAlarm firewall...

Try Eset Smart Security and/or Kaspersky suite. Both available on a 30 day free trial.

ESS has firewall, antivirus and antispyware and a pretty decent antispam.

So, you think those two are a better option than the AVG and ZoneAlarm solutions?
hm..
Well, thanks - I'll check it out.

Early versions of Zone Alarm were great. Later versions became buggy and too intrusive in my opinion. If ZA have a free trial option that is certainly worth trying.
