At work we run WinXP Pro SP2. Most users are working with Outlook 2002. However, a handful run Outlook 2003. I had 2002 when I first started, and I had a sound associated with new mail arrival. The sound would play when I received new email to my inbox or directly to a subfolder as designated by the Rules Wizard.
Recently I started using Outlook 2003. Now the new mail arrival sound only occurs when mail arrives in my Inbox. Since most of my email is designated to subfolders, I would really like to have the sound alert me to any new emails.
Is there a way to get Outlook 2003 to respond like Outlook 2002 in this instance? Am I doing something wrong? When I look at the program events in the sound section of my Control Panel, there is only one sound event with new mail.
