I have a 2nd 22" monitor that I watch TV on through WMC and was wondering if there is a solution a small problem I have.

When I maximize WMC to fit the screen I cannot move my mouse pointer back to the other screen. It's restricted to movement within the 2nd screen.

I can minimize the screen (manually stretch WMC display to almost fit screen) and then have full control.

Is a little annoying and would like to know if there is any way around what's happening.

Thanks in advance

I believe you're talking about Windows Media Player not Windows Media Center (this is a windows OS).

Instead of using the maximize button, manually stretch the screen, then create a second screen by using the ctrl key and the N key. This will create a new screen the same size as the one you stretched, now, close the first one, the one behind the new one. When you finish using the second window and close it, the next time you open WMP it will open full screen.

Is definately Windows Media Center, the extra you get with Vista Home Premium and above.

It does open to same size each time but doesnt quite fill the screen like maximizing does. Like I said is just a little problem and no big deal just thought may be was a solution.

Thanks for your help

In your signature add your operating system. :) This way we know how to answer you easier. I don't use Vista yet (waiting for the service pack, just like I did with XP).

But the instructions I gave you should still work for WMC too. It works for other windows programs and other non windows programs. Just stretch the WMC to full screen, then make a new one with the keys I mentioned above, then finish with the other instructions.

:dizzy: Sorry I thought my OS WAS in my signature....opps

Yes I have stretched the sindow as per you instructions but it does not cover full screen as it drags in aspect ratio (drag the bottom & side moves as well) and leaves a one inch space across the bottom and a loss of some of the TV picture. Also, there is a still a border around view screen. (see attached jpeg).

Yet maximizing fills the whole screen with no border amd I get all the picture.

Cheers

Yes, I now see what you mean. Mine in XP won't let me resize to anything but aspect ratio either. So, that may be all you can do, is maximize it, except when playing a video you could/can use Full Screen option, under View in the menu bar.

I thought I'd found the solution until I tried the same with mine. Sorry I couldn't help any further. Perhaps a WMC junkie will have your answer. It might be a registry hack that fixes the problem.
