When I turn on my computer it goes all the way to the background and then flicks over to a blue screen that tells me to press enter, that an error has occured. Pressing enter takes me to a black screen that goes nowhere. It tell me on the blue screen that File Name: IOS(05) + 00001ED1
Error: OE: 0028: C02D0E2D
And then press any key to continue, but it goes to a black screen and nowhere. In device manager it says "compatibility-mode paging reduces overall system performance. The it says "WIN ME was unable to identify a real-mode driver or memory resident program loaded in config.sys or autoexec.bat files. What can I do?

to troubleshoot, try going into safe mode.

to do that, follow these instructions:
turn the computer on

Watch the screen while it is still black. When you see "Starting Windows ME," immediately press the F8 key. Windows starts in Safe Mode.

tada
