I recently ripped all my CD's into a PC that is used by 3 user accounts. The music is showing up in only one user account, mine, the one I used when the music was ripped. I have tried but failed in sharing the music. I hate to rip the CD's into each user accounts, it took me about a hour just to put them in mine. How do I share files, music and pictures, with the other user accounts without ripping them separately into each user account? Thank you very much, Tony.

Hi
The files are there, but the media library was build for one user account, not all.
Media player can scan the hard disk for available media files.

How do I get the Media player to scan the hard disk for available media files? And do I do that in each user account one at a time?
I don't know a lot about the PC world. Thanks, Tony.

why don't you put a folder in the C section and label it as Music files...this way all three users can go to the C sectoin of the drive and access it...

I don't know how to do that, I'm a PC illiterate person. So I need step by step directions to put the files into the C file. All I know is where the music files are. Thank you.

ok....go to my computer

double click on c: drive

create a new folder there (right click --> new --> folder)

name it whatever you want

copy the music files that you stored into the new folder you created

log out....

log in as someone else

and go to the c drive and you should see the new folder you created...and the files mp3 or whatever should be in there

see if that works
