My taskbar and desktop does not load at start up, the screen is black except my documents pops up.
I have to run task manager and click run and run explorer to get my taskbar and desktop up and then my computer is fine.
So why isn't the explorer running when I start up, how can I fix this?
I use Vista home premium.

Hi stoicism. Lets see what is running on your computer. Go here (http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/threat_analytics/hijackthis.php?) and download Hijack This to your Desktop. When you have downloaded it, doubleclick to install. Once installed, open Hijack This and click on scan. Most of the files listed will be harmless and/or required so do not make any changes, just click on Save Log, copy it and post it back in this thread.

Also download Deckard's System Scanner (dss.exe) from here (http://deckard.geekstogo.com/dss.exe) to your Desktop. Close all open applications and windows, double-click on dss.exe to run it and follow the prompts.

When the scan is complete, a text file will open. Copy and paste the contents of this log in your next reply.
