Question How can one have a "tone" on a message board?

There is a new member here that does not know how to have a tone whislt posting. I think they may be on a dial up because they think I have blond hair. Anyway, how do you express your "tone" (attitude) whislt posting? I am sure!! that the writer's tone can be gleened from the way words are used.

Tone is very evident on the Internet, that's my opinion! Now I will say that at times, a person's tone can be misinterpreted. Mostly I'm thinking of people who post briefly and to the point; sometimes, they may come across sort of sharp and really aren't. But anyway, tone is usually quite obvious to me. I don't know how to say exactly how I express it, but I think that even the few times I've been angry on the net, it comes through. It just does.

LOL! That's NOT confused, Tram, it's that I have a talent for seeing both sides but not knowing which is right!

Tram's tone: Direct, truthful, appreciative when appreciation is felt.....and you know what, more expansive than in years past! That's my opinion, anyway!

Hey, let's get into this! The more people post, the more we can say how we see their tones!
