I have a dual boot with W98 and W2K Pro. W98 is on C:, W2K on D: and I have a drive E: for downloads, storage, video, etc. All partitions are FAT32. I use W98 more than W2K. (I have the Windows ME defrag for W98.) Question is, which defragmenter is the best to use. Windows ME or W2K? Or is it just a matter of preference?

(I have only been using the Windows ME defrag. I know I should stick to one or the other.)

I usually defrag when I'm watching a movie. Actually, it doesn't take that long unless I've been doing a lot of video editing on my E: drive.

My friend has the same setup as I do (dual boot) and he says the W2K defrag is faster. If that is the only advantage, then I'll stick with what I'm using.

Someone mentioned using the ME defrag on C: and W2K defrag on D: Wonder how that would work? Makes sense to me.
