I am, new in vista, I mean.

I am to setup a small 7 computer lab with Vista in all of them, 6 of which ar Dell 531s models, three with PCI wireles card installed, three that will require external wireless cards --I'm thinking USB enabled.

Which would be the best in the price/performance ratio for something like that in terms of the USB wireless cards and a decent (not ultra $$) access point for such a task?

Should I do the two printers wireless or connect them directly to the supervisor's computer?

PC's will be used by kids 6 to 12 years of age.

Maxmimum distance for each computer to the access point with no walls between them: 30 feet(?)

Now that I think of it, if a proyector has a USB port, could I use turn one into a wireless?

Does a wireless projector even exist?

Thank you in advanced.

I would stay away from USB wireless adapters, if you can as most are not as reliable as a PCI based adapter.

I would go with network printers or print servers, avoiding wireless for these. Its not like the printers should be moving much and they are usually off near walls which makes getting cat5 to them easier. Wireless adds complexity and is still not as reliable as wired, so I figure why use it when it doesn't bring much added value.

Stay away from wireless... hmm... got it.

I'll try to sell the idea to my client, but she was rather insistant on going wireless.

I'll try and talk her out of it. If she persist, then a disclaimer shoud be parto of the contract, right?

I don't know that it should be part of the contract, but you should make sure that it is clear that wireless just will not be as reliable as a wired connection. With something like a printer I would go with wired, if it is possible. This sounds a bit like a school type setting, so I'd suggest including a an ethernet port that would be convenient to the supervisor in case they need or want to go wired.
