Hi, I had my computer running overnight last night and in the middle of the night my computer kept restarting which woke me up, when I turned on the monitor I saw my computer was restarting and on the load screen (with that bar that scrolls on the black screen and it says "Microsoft") it would blue screen shortly after. I received a few errors that I managed to catch, the common message I received was an error that involved ntdll.dll, something along the lines of:
STOP: c0000221 Unknown Hard Error
Another message I got was an error that said something along the lines of "less than or equal to..." i didn't catch the rest of that before my pc rebooted.
And finally I also received the error message "BAD_POOL_CALLER" at some point (I think i was trying to get into safemode, which I wasn't able to do)
Well anyways, I found a post recommending that I'd remove my hardware to check if any of those caused the problem, when I stripped my computer of everything but the keyboard and vid card, I removed 1 of my RAM (i have 2) and I was able to get onto the windows logon screen. I then restarted the comp and replaced the single RAM that was inside with the one I had pulled out to check if the one I pulled out was faulty, turned out it also loaded to the logon screen. I then put both RAM back in and it seemed to be working again, no more blue screen. So i plugged back in my hardware devices and everything was fine until about 2 minutes later, the computer will crash to a blue screen again, except the blue screen is blank.
Sorry for the long-winded problem, but my current problem now is that I can't stay on my computer for longer than about 2 mins after logging into vista, I'm not given any error messages either, just a blank blue screen.
And no I haven't updated or changed my hardware/software in months, everything was working smooth up until the middle of the night when my computer started rebooting on its own over and over again. My windows update is also disabled so nothing changed with drivers.
I appreciate any help or links that could direct me to figuring out this problem, thanks!
