I have this junk hp pavilion that has a thinking problem. its about as fast as a 486.... I know I have all these programs and what not running and taking bandwidth. but I have been trying to run defrag since forever and it ALWAYS get interrupted. I have closed all programs in the dialoug box except for : explorer, rundll, and systray. and havent everyhting I can close closed and it still wount run. so. I would try to run it under dos mode. first off I can figure out how to get into complete dos mode. and second of all I cant make a startup disk. I belive the drive is totally junk and doesnt recognize there is a dick in there. I have tried a number of disks and none of them work. so I need some suggestions please. tia :)
