hello everyone. f.y.i. this is my first time here. so let me go direct to the point. can you pls. help me with my problem with a dell latitude C600 notebook. used to be windows 2000 then change to XP.

when I open my laptop it normally first pops out the brand name and trying to boot then after that comes a message that reads windows didnt start succesfully due to recent hardware or software changes. and further a choice to start windows normally or choose last configuration that work. and those safe mode choices too. so I did both and the windows xp logo comes for 5 seconds and a message comes bur unable to read because it pops out like a lightning. then it goes back to rhe make logo.
thats my problem i cant use my unit. I dont know anything about computers so I really do appreciate all the help i could get. you can also email me on lance_spec09 at yahoo dot com address edited by mod tnx more power.

how did you change to XP?
new install?
upgrade?
or did you swap in another hard drive from another computer?

remove that email so spam bots dont find it

hmm
did this start right after you got the laptop back?
if so then i suggest you take it back to him and complain

or did the laptop work fine after you got it back then suddenly started these problems?
in that case did you install any new software or hardware?

hey again,

it work perfectly before I leave the phils. and when Im at work which is at sea without any available technician. it all went wrong. and new developement is safe mode doesnt solve the prob. it still shots down. and when I disabled the auto restart on system failure, it says UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME. you know something about that? and a tech. info. thats it i dont know what else to do so I leaved it alone for while. more power.;)
