Vista start up and shut down problems

My friends computer is requesting to run scan disk on everystart up...

also it wont shut down by itself, it has to be shut down by pressing the button.. (which i guess is causing the disk scan)


any suggestions?

Let's see what is running on this computer. Download Deckard's System Scanner (dss.exe) from here (http://deckard.geekstogo.com/dss.exe) to the affected computer and save it to the Desktop. Close all open applications and windows, doubleclick on dss.exe to run it and follow the prompts.

When the scan is complete, a text file will open. Copy and paste the contents of this log (Main.txt) in your next reply. Also post the contents of Extra.txt (it will be minimised on your taskbar).
