hi there i was using my vista as normal and then when i restarted the pc. i started to get this message when i log in '' C;windows/system32\config\systemprofile\desktop'' is not accesable or found

Hi khalid, have you tried "Last Known Good Configuration"? If not give it a try. To do this, restart your computer and tap F8 continuously as it restarts and choose this option from the Menu that appears.
If this doesnt help, try running System Restore from your installation dvd. See here (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial142.html) for more help.
