networking problem
I have cable internet with a motorola modem. It is connected to a standard desktop PC that is very rarely running. It is also connected to a Belkin G Plus Mimo router. The router sits about 5 feet from 2 laptops. Normally the internet runs extremely fast. Thursday night we had a bad storm and when we woke up the internet was running extremely slow. We assumed it was the internet provider and called them. They came out and said there is nothing wrong with the internet or the modem. The desktop is running as fast as normal, but the laptops are connecting to websites at the speed slow than dial up. I tried to unplug the router and plug it back in and it worked for about 5 minutes, the internet went at it's normal speed but then slowed down again. So last night when we went to bed I unplugged the router and left it unplugged all night. When I woke up I plugged it back in and the same thing happened...for about 5 minutes the internet was fast again and then slowed down to the same pace. I have tried everything, I even went on the router page and restarted the router I don't know what else to do. Please help!
