Angry Network card problem.

I've been having problems with my laptop and I am not that computer suavy. I did take it to a computer repair shop and all they did was reinstall windows and tell me they couldn't fix the problem.

Problem: everytime I hook my ethernet chord into my laptop it automatically pops up that a network cable is unplugged. I've been told my some people that i need a new network card. I'm wondering if there are easier alternatives to this problem rather than sending my laptop in to get a new network card??

any adviceeeee..

Thanks!

Hi oorachelxx and welcome to CTH, It may be your network card, but we can look at a few things with and see if we can find something else. Lets start with some basics, take a look at this post and post back with the info it suggests. If you have any questions about how to do anything, just holler.
