Now's your chance to show off your Uber desk, or your 1337 Custom Special Case....

Since I don't have a digital camera..I'll describe my habitat.

I have a green...chair...it's got wheels on it and up/down/angle controls. It is based an a gray firm carpet. My computer stands on a desk about 3 feet high, fitted to a corner with a 90 degree curve. My monitor is a 17" CRT... My computer case is ATX/Mid tower, it has an MSI badge on it. There is a floppy drive with a green disk sticking out. It stands out because it is 7 years old. The case has small holes allowing for air intake, There is also an indentation which will be replaced by a plexiglass window. To the right of the computer is my Modem. It has 6 lights on it that keep my room bright.. To the right of that, is a blue wall. A window with a fan in it brings in air. I have a disney bed sheet covering the rest of the window. Finally, my accesories. I have a dancing hamster, two flashlights, a box of screws, a few floppy disks, a stack of CDs, a headset, 2.1 Speakers, wood shavings, optical mouse and PS/2 keyboard, sunflower seeds, various Game/hardware boxes, and, a hamster cage with two dwarf hamsters above. Don't forget, a pile of school papers..

Fascinating, isn't it..

TC, we definitely need a pic of your 'puter and desk area, some kind of WAY! And........are the sunflower seeds for you, or the hampster?! :D

The original intent was to give my Hamsters the seeds, but my sister eats em all :(

Anyway, in a few days, since we have a school fund raiser going on, im gonna get a 30 pic 1 use camra once I bring in 30 bucks. Or, I borrow my Father's Digital Camera. I hope to post it soon.

I've been thinking and I've come up with:

Purple with orange polka dots.

3 foot spitting.

about 5 feet tall.

Still thinking about some other parts. I think I'm gonna disable the Power Supply Out put ;)

I've decided that I will place my comp by my window, so my fan gives it some cooler air. I will have...Hamster tubes making a duct directly to the processor :o

Actually I have a plain jane tan case sitting here with the cover off as usual. Don't remember the last time I had it on. Never know when I'll want to poke around inside it. :-S

After cutting myself open on so many cases at home, and at work, I decided to invest some decent money in a nice case. I don't regret it at all :)

Once I get some actual money (Still at -$70...) saved up, I think I'm gonna but a tower case. I find a Mid Tower to be lacking in space and I can't make it look all "Uber". It's gonna be a compromise between good looks and cooling.

Good looks:
Plexiglass window.
Hamster Tubes used as a duct for cool air.
UV reactive painted Mobo.
UV Cathodes.

Coolness:
120 MM Fan on top of case.
Duct going straight to processor using fan air/funnel/hamster tubing.
80 MM Fan in bottom left of left side of case.
80 MM Fan blowing around AGP slot.

Well I have an inside tact. I spend time browsing the entire site and have come across some info that i am sure will lead to a mug shot. Besides there is the Grand Prize for the correct guess for the 10,000th member contest. :D

You know the real reason may be because MishY is only 14 yearz old and does not want to loose his status in Cyber Space. I mean no one would listen to a kid tell them how to fix their PC.... would they? ;)

Well, I've been out for a bit. I do like my case. Chieftech Dragon Blue case with clear side panel and blue IDE and Floppy cables... Excellant amount of space to do anything you want. The 420w dual fan power supply sits nicely above everything else in its own trac.... Major cooling case IMO....

Right now I'm in the early stages of a case mod. Everything will be black and red.

The frame has been completely done in black and clear coated. All the screws to the case will be done in candy apple red then clear coated. The power supply is in the process of being painted black. All the wires, including the power supply wires and connectors will be painted black using vinyl dye. That part has been completed. All the finger guards for the fans will be a candy apply red as well. The side is going to have three 60mm aluminum fans with red finger guards. I'm still deciding what to do with the window, if I do one, or do something to the front face plate. All the components are black so no paint will be needed.

I haven't decided if I'm going to take the CD drives apart and paint the shells yet, but I might. The rest of the components will stay as they are though.

As the project progresses, I might post a few images of it.

Once you finish, I suggest putting an apple inside, perhaps resting on your graphics card, power supply, anyhing like that with a window for it :o

EDIT: Here's my plan.

Tower case, 24-30 inch height.
Outside, light green.
Inside Rack thing... BLACK
All internal components, UV reactive paint (Cover all parts that produce heat and connectors then spray it on)
two UV Cold Cathodes inside case.
A window showing mobo, and a window showing PSU, and a window showing my CD ROM etc.
And, I'm going to cut holes into the top area so that it glows with:
THUNDER
CHICKEN
