Help with Monitor

Hi can anyone help me. Evertime I put my computer on the Monitor goes straight into Powersave mode and goes into stand bye. This only happened after my young grandaughter was allowed to play on it. Could she have pressed a key or something!!!!!

Have you tried altering the settings > Click Start, click Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance, and then click Power Options.

Can you try the monitor on another PC and vice versa, try another monitor on YOUR PC?.....this will at least let you know if the problem is with the PC or monitor.
