Camera Card (HELP!!!!)

I was going to take pictures off of a camera card by sticking it into the computer. When I stuck it in nothing popped up so I stuck it back into the camera and turned it on. Now the camera won't do anything when the card is in there and it says memory card error. Could someone please help me to fix this...it is not my camera or my memory card! I also tried putting it in another camera and another computer...Neither worked. It froze the camera and nothing came up on the computer. I just want to say thanks in advance to anyone who could help me.

First, welcome to the CTH Forum!

You might want to first provide some information about the camera (make/model) and the type of memory card used; I'm assuming a SD card (Secure Digitial), but others exists, such as Sony's Memory Sticks.

Are you sure that the card was operational in the camera before you started to find the images - might have been defective from the start; if you can get your hands on another similar card, give it a try in the camera & your computer - good luck!
