OK heres what i would like to do.
I already have XP installed on HDD1. I would like to put Vista on HDD2 and Ubuntu 7.10 on HDD3. I would like to be able to pick wich OS to use at start up.
I have already tried this once and got as far as a double boot with XP and Vista, but when it came to adding Ubuntu it all went wrong. When Ubuntu loaded the Kernel 'thing' at the beginning of the install it came back with an error and wouldn't go any further. That in turn stopped Vista from loading anymore. Something to do with the MBR I think but that's where i am lost.
BTW at the start of this project i had all 3 HDD's physically connected at the same time. Is it best to only have one HDD connected at once while you are loading the OS, and then when all 3 are loaded onto their HDD's use some kind of software to give you a choice of OS at start up? I have a disk called Super Grub Disc but dont know how to use it, and I've also heard of Easy BCD but again I'm stuck.
Has anyone done this or doe anyone have a step by step?
Any help greatfully recieved.
