Well, I posted here asking for help with Nero file association but no one answered. Hope this time somebody will... speaking of Nero.. I resolved the Nero 8 file association issue (I certainly hope so)... it looks like you can really rely only on your self nowadays... :)

I hope there is a soul out there that could help me and that I wont need to wait for the "third times a charm"...

Well, trying to resolve the file association issue that Nero brought up I jumped all around my computer.. and something happened. I have a My documents folder and in it a folder where I download all my programs, torrents, game exe files and similar... two days ago I started having difficulties opening it... it took time... and now I saw some .dll files in it... the following ones:

-jpeg.dll
-libpng 12.dll
-libpng 13.dll
-libtiff.dll
-SDL_image.dll
-SDL_mixer.dll
-SDL_net.dll
-SDL_ttf.dll
-snipeg.dll
-vorbis.dll
-vorbisfile.dll
-zlib1.dll
-zlib.dll

I dont think they should be there... and it must be a consequence of Nero... and now I dont know where they belong. Can you help me you good souls out there? Should I put them in System32?

HelP! :(:(

Are all those files preceded by a dash? example: -jpeg.dll
If yes then they are not valid files.
I checked some of the listed files (w/o -dash) and they are not all windows xp files.
If things are slowing down, try cleaning up temp, cookies, history files.

Thank you mick mouse for answering... at least one.. :)

The files are not preceded by a dash...

The problem is that only when opening this folder computer slows down and has troubles with opening it... even when I click on it.. it takes a few seconds for it to turn blue...

Since System Restore takes snapshots of critical system files and
the registry, I would try a restore previous this particular problem.
If it does not help, you can always restore back again.
I have always had great success with System Restore bringing back a
loopy system due to some app I loaded and went awry.
Start/programs/accessories/system tools/system restore
Good luck.

It's not that nobody wanted to help, it's more a matter of nobody, until mick_mouse10, felt they had anything to offer.

Since this may be more an application problem than a Windows problem, I'm moving this from the XP forum to the Applications forum where those experienced with Nero may have some insight.
