Nero 7 Essentials

Just recently purchased & installed Nero 7 Essentials...to burn DVDs among other things, but:

Using "Nero Start Smart" whenever I attempt to access almost *any* DVD function (such as "Photo & Video" and then "Make your own DVD-Video") I get the following error message:

"Unable to initialize the Nero API. Unspecified error"

and I'm unable to continue with the operation.

FYI: I'm running Microsoft Vista (which Nero 7 was supposed to be compatible with).

Any help would be much appreciated!!

Are you certain your version is recent enough to be Vista compatibil ? Maybe check here (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&hs=Ehm&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=nero+7+vista+compatible&spell=1).
