I received a new Gateway Laptop M-6307 for Christmas along with the Rosetta Stone Japanese language software version 2 and when I try to run the software I get a message to install the correct CD and I have the correct CD in. I have changed the compatability mode to Windows XP as suggested but that did not help. The Rosetta Stone company said
"This is not at all a Vista problem, it is happening because your computer cannot decode the copy-protection on the Language CD.
Having done all of the steps in the FAQs (to update your safedisc drivers and your CD-Rom firmware, etc.), I am afraid you will need to use a different CD-ROM device to read the discs. That can be either an internal one or and external one on this computer, or on another computer entirely."
Does anyone know a way around this so that I can use the drive that came with my new PC which is an Optiarc DVD RW AD-7563A?
