Who can remember the days when.......

...television went off at 2:00 in the morning, and the local stations would sign off with some sort of "meditation" or the Star Spangled Banner, or some such! There was this one, when I was a teenager, of some guy in a plane, it was really cool, though I can't remember exactly why - I guess it must have had music, and words....seems like I remember something like, "touched the face of God," or something!

No such thing as television stations signing off anymore, LOL!

I remember in the UK, the BBC would close down at midnight, playing the National anthem!!! ;)

Harrie PBS (12) still signs off. I know I have seen jet planes flying with the Star Spangled Banner playing in the back-round,... on some nights.

I was my family's remote control, "hey Dale while your up change the channel, STOP flippin' them" Kinda miss those dayz. Today i will spend ten minutes looking for the remote, never once thinking to walk up to the T.V. :D

Yep I remember when they signed off & then would put up a test pattern that you could use to adjust your TV controls..:no:
