We are looking into pda's for our company. We haven't decided on what type to get.

Is anyone out there using Lotus Notes with PDA's and possibly Citrix Metaframe? Really we'll get them primarly for email but may decide to run apps from the citrix servers. What's the security like?

If your company provides you with one, can you expand on your experiences. In the long run, do they really get used?

Thanks!

The most common PDA's have the PALMOS (http://ww.palm.com) or POCKET PC (http://www.microsoft.com/pocketpc) operating system. Palm's software can sync up with lotus notes i beleive. And microsofts pdas usually come with mini versions of MS Office. So the choice is yours. One hint though POCKET PC pda's show up ad a drive and dont require special "Conduits" like the PALMOS does. I'm sure lotus can translate office files.

in my opinion the PalmOS PDA's are easier to use. But the Microsoft ones are easier to sync with cuz you can just use them like you would a drive. Also palms are rather new to this but microsoft isnt, you can access your network with a pocketpc (almost any) or a palmos (starting to comeout, usually only in wireless or ir connectors though) PDA. Also if your running a windows network your admin or workers can access their consoles using their pda (usually without installing extra software on the pdas, the pocket pc pdas come with a terminal services client usually). PalmOS usually has to have a program put on it to do something simular called VNC.
